SSC Selection Process 2018
The selection process of SSC CHSL will include a three-tier procedure which will calculate the fortune of millions of candidates who appear in the exam every year. Well, many of you might be willing to get a job and it is indeed a need of the time.
So here we are providing you a basic idea about the SSC selection process of various exams conducted by the commission so that you might be able to choose which will work for you and in which direction your focus should be to crack an exam. Here we go.
As the name, Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam suggests, it is for all those candidates who have passed intermediate exams.
SSC CHSL Selection process 2017- 18
SSC CHSL Selection Process includes the following:
- Computer-Based Written Examination (Tier-I)
- Descriptive Examination (Tier-II)
- Computer Typing / Efficiency Test (Tier-III)
This is not all, let’s peep into the pattern of various exams and know what will be asked in these exams.
- CBT (Tier-I) Pattern: Computer Based Exam will be conducted for all the registered candidates and those who will qualify the exam will be invited to Tier-II examination. Let’s have a look at the exam pattern. The exam will be conducted with the maximum time of 60 minutes and each question will carry 2 marks for the right attempt and a penalty of 5 marks for the wrong attempt will be awarded to the candidates.

- Typing Test/ Skill Test: Tier-III will only be of qualifying nature and merit list will be prepared on the basis of CBT and Descriptive Exam only. Candidates are required to pass the skill test and typing test to claim the eligibility for certain posts.
|1||Skill Test||Candidates are required to have a speed of minimum 8000 key depressions per hours. In the time period of 15 minutes, candidates are required to score 2000-2200 key depressions to be qualified for the exam.|
|2||Typing Test||Candidates are required to type with the speed of 35wpm in 10 minutes time provided for English language and 30wpm for the Hindi Language.|
After the completion of Tier-III, candidates who have qualified the Tier-III will be ranked according to the cumulative marks in both Tier-I and Tier-II exam. Students who can make it to the merit list of selected candidates will be considered selected and the remaining candidates will be called disqualified.
SSC CAPF Selection Process 2017- 18
SSC conducts the recruitment exam for the posts of Assistant Sub Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors in Central Armed Police Forces which include Delhi Police, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, and BSF deployed in various states in the country. - Physical Efficiency Test: After the result of pre-exam, candidates who can qualify the Pre exam will be invited for the Physical Examination at various CAPF base camps. Physical Efficiency Test will test the physical standards like height, weight and chest of the candidate as per the Eligibility Criteria of SSC CAPF Exam and tests will include the following.
For Male Candidates:
- 100 meters race in 16 seconds
- 1600 meters race in 390 seconds
- 3.65meter long jump (3 chances)
- 2-meter high jump (3 chances)
- Shot Put (1.6lbs): 4.5 meters (3 chances)
For Female Candidates:
- 100m race in 18 seconds
- 800m race in 240 seconds
- Long Jump 9 Feet (3 Chances)
- High Jump 3 Feet (3 Chances)
- English Language Exam (Tier-II): Test of English Language and Comprehension will be conducted of all the candidates who qualify the Physical Exam. It will carry 200 questions of 1 mark for each right answer and 25 negative marks for every wrong answer. Total time of 120 minutes will be provided to complete the question paper.
- Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify on the basis of Pre and Mains exam will be called for the medical examination. Medical Examination will be carried out at various CAPF Hospital Campuses by Doctors in the specific departments. A chance of re-medical will be given to the candidates to challenge the results.
SSC Stenographer Selection Process 2017- 18
Staff Selection Commission conducts the recruitment examination for the recruitment posts of Stenographer Grade C and D in various departments under the Government of India. - Written Examination (CBT) (Tier-I)
- Stenography Skill Test (Tier-II)

- Stenography Skill Test: Candidates who can qualify the Pre exam or the written examination will be called for the stenography test or skill test. Skill test is compulsory for all the candidates and it is of qualifying nature. No-any candidate will be exempted from skill test in any condition. The test will be of 10 minutes and candidates are required to have Stenography speed of 100wpm for Stenographer Grade C and 80wpm for Stenographer Grade D posts.
SSC UDC Selection Process 2017- 18
Staff Selection Commission is going to recruit various candidates for the posts of Upper Division Clerk in various departments. The recruitment process will include a common recruitment exam which will have two parts. All the candidates will appear in both parts of the exam and must qualify the exam with minimum qualifying marks to ensure a seat of UDC in any of the department in Central Government.
The exam will have two parts in which part-I will be a purely objective type and a computer-based test which will consist of 200 questions and time of 120 minutes will be allotted to the candidates. All the questions will carry 1 Mark for the right answer and 0.25 Negative Marks for each wrong answer. Part-II of the exam will be conventional and knowledge of Drafting, noting and Office Procedure will be tested in the exam.

SSC JE Selection Process 2017- 18
Staff Selection Commission recruits Engineering candidates for various posts of Junior Engineers in Public Sector Departments through a common recruitment exam of Junior Engineers in the country. The recruitment exam is conducted to recruit the candidates in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering departments under the Government of India.
Here we are providing you the detailed exam pattern of various exams conducted by the commission for JE recruitment. The recruitment of candidates will be based on objective type examination in which two papers are asked. SSC JE Paper-I: Paper 1 will carry 200 marks and a time period of 120 minutes will be provided to each candidate to complete the exam. Candidates will be awarded 1 Mark for the right answer and 0.25 Negative Marks for wrong answers.

SSC MTS Selection Process 2017- 18
Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) is the supporting staff in various departments under SSC which is deployed to do all Grade ‘D’ tasks in Government Offices. SSC conducts the recruitment exam every year which recruits Secondary Level Candidates in the country for various posts. The exam is conducted for the SSC selection of various posts in two stages and candidates are required to appear in both the exams. The pattern of examination and selection procedure of SSC MTS is as follows:
- Common Written Examination (Objective)
- Essay/Letter Writing Test (Descriptive)
Candidates who can qualify the objective type exam will be called for the descriptive paper and the SSC selection will be based on the cumulative score in both exams.
- SSC MTS Written Exam: Tier-I or the objective type exam will carry 150 questions of 1 Mark each and a total time of 120 minutes will be provided to the candidates appearing in the exam. Three sections are asked in the paper as follows. Each right question will be awarded 1 mark and 0.25 negative marks will be awarded for every wrong attempt.

SSC Constable GD Selection Process 2017- 18
Staff Selection conducts the recruitment exam for the posts of Constables in various departments under the Union Government of India. The recruitment of male and female candidates on various posts of constables will be based on a two-tier recruitment process. SSC Constable Recruitment process will have two exams and both exams are compulsory. The process follows as below.
- Physical and Medical Examination
- Computer-Based Written Examination
Candidates who can qualify both the exams will be selected as constables in various departments of Central Armed Police Forces. Let’s peep into the details of the tests to know what exactly will be asked in these exams.
- SSC Constable PE&MT Process: Physical Examination will carry the physical measurements of the body of the candidate as per the minimum requirements provided by the commission followed by Physical Efficiency tests which will undergo as follows:

- 14ft long jump in 3 chances
- 3’9’’ high jump in 3 chances
For female candidates:
- 1600m race in 480 seconds
Medical Examination will be carried out by doctors as per the requirements of posts and candidates should possess the necessary medical fitness in the test. After qualifying for both Physical Examination and Medical Test, candidates will be invited to appear in the CBT.
- Computer-Based Written Exam: Only qualified candidates from PE&MT tests will be invited in the computer-based exam in which total of 100 questions will be asked in the provided time of 90 minutes. Each question in the exam will carry one mark and 0.25 negative marks will be awarded in case of the wrong attempt.

SSC LDC Selection Process 2017- 18
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) recruits candidates in various departments of the commission on the posts of Lower Division Clerks under pay grade 1800 for various LDC posts in the department under Pay Grade 1900 through a common recruitment exam.
